Cachou Lajaunie is a vintage advertising poster, for the famous French liquorice and mint pastilles, designed by Leonetto Cappiello. The figure faces us, with vivid red hair and pale skin, holding a cigarette in one hand and the small yellow tin of Cachou Lajaunie in the other. A plume of smoke curls into three soft shapes against a dark green background, while the dress made of yellow and red “petals” turns the lower half of the poster into something close to abstraction when seen from across the room.
